FAQs

Frequently asked Questions

  • Do I need to be home for the estimate?

No, but it helps us answer your questions if you are there. We prefer to have the client introduce us to the property the first time around. For general estimates, we can just leave the information.

  • Can you give me an estimate over the phone?

No, we need to come out in order to see the tree and its condition and assess the property for equipment access, electrical hazards, swimming pools, pet runs, etc.

  • What is a consultation with report?

A pre-arranged meeting where a certified arborist does a walk-through of the property identifying trees and shrubs. We evaluate each species for health, condition, safety and supply a written action plan based on our findings.

  • Do you give a discount if my neighbor signs up too?

We give the lowest most competitive price for all parties concerned.

  • Can I cut off limbs on my neighbors tree if they overhang my house and property?

You have a right to prune problem limbs and trees. In order for us to do it, we need written permission from the neighbor.

  • Can you cut the tree down and let me do the clean up?

We can leave some of the final cuttings and clean up for you. Legally we need to chip all the brush and tops we create. There are very little savings in leaving a client with clean-up. Also,we need to keep the work site clear for our safety.

  • How much do you charge per hour?

There are many variables that go into estimates. We really need to stop by before we can give costs.

  • My husband says he can do this removal himself, how hard can it be?

Let us give you an estimate. Keep him off the ladder and out of the ER! We are here for a reason and so is he. Removing trees involves technical equipment and years of experience. We will keep everyone safe.

  • Do you split and stack the firewood you left for us?

No, we don't do any splitting, However, we can leave the wood near the tree.

  • Can we keep the diseased wood from the removal?

It depends on the pathogen involved and your willingness to follow through with quarantine protocols.

  • Are estimates free?

Pruning and removal estimates are free. If you would like to meet with one of our certified arborists for a diagnosis or educational session, there is a 75.00 fee.
